 Pain Awareness :

Sitting in Tasleem,

I slowly lower my shoulders.

Guiding my head and my chest

With my arms,

And a slight twist.

Gently sliding across the cool laminate floor,

The cold touch calms, for a few seconds, the thumping in my right temple.

I let out a silent sigh.

In this dark room,

I focus on the swift shadows of feet shuffling along the light,

Breaking through from under the door.

I am alone

With my Lord,

And my pain. Gnawing at my legs, my back, my shoulder, my arms.

This is our quality time.

*The Du’aa when a person feels pain in their body*

‘Uthmaan bin Abeel-‘Aas ath-Thaqafee said that he complained to the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم of a pain he felt in his body since the time he accepted Islaam.  So the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم  said to him:

“Place your hand on the place on your body where the pain is, and

say ((Bismillaah )) 3 times, and

then say below dua 7 times:

What to say when you feel a pain in your body

‘A’oothu billaahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa ‘ajidu wa ‘uhaathiru

(I seek refuge in Allaah and His complete power and ability from the evil of what I feel and am wary of)
